Welcome to the EURO<26 Mediterranean region website!
The main objective of this common website is to offer EURO<26 cardholders, visitors of the Mediterranean region, focused and up-to-date information about the most interesting activities, places and discounts in the region. It is destined to promote youth mobility beyond national borders and attract even more young people.
This project also aims to encourage stronger communication and cooperation between Mediterranean countries and EURO<26 offices. The idea for the project was born in 2004 in Bled, Slovenija and finally became reality at the end of the year 2005.
EURO<26 and the European Youth Card Association (EYCA)
The EURO<26 youth card offers great discounts for young people across Europe. But it is so much more than just a card. It is the key for young Europeans to information, mobility, culture and participation. Through a range of services, discounts and advantages, the EURO<26 card encourages young people under 26 to make informed life choices, explore their world, and play a full part as citizens of Europe in today's society.
The EURO<26 card is the only one for all young people under 26, regardless of whether they are students, working, unemployed, parents, or trainees. And they are affordable - reflecting the economy of each country, they start at 3 euro - with add-on services like helplines, magazines, and youth information services included in the price.
In total, 58 EURO<26 organisations are issuing cards in 36 countries, and they are all members of the European Youth Card Association (EYCA).
EYCA promotes and develops the EURO<26 ideal, supporting member organisations and promoting pan-European activities.
EYCA encourages all youth cards to give young people improved access to transport, accommodation, leisure activities, culture, sports - indeed, any benefits and services which encourage their development, their mobility, and improve the quality of their lives.
